So where are we at, well lets start with the big news from where I'm at...

Rich and Ericka's wedding was a blast, (congrats my friend) speech went well too (I thought) and a great time was had by one and all.
I have also in the last few days become "Don Matt", yes I'm the proud Godfather to Sebastian Edward J..., son of proud parents Sam and Ed.
I shall also have a brother in-law in 3 weeks as my sisters wedding draws closer, thank god my part in it is small, too much pressure at weddings these days!!
Congratulations to Jo and Tash on their wedding in Greece, another blast and great time had by all!
Another congratulations to Sam and Bobby on their marriage too!
And finally to Anton and Mandy on their latest addition to the home, Luke!!

To all of you, my you live long with love, laughter and good health!!

The new ink additions to my body have been completed, back done, now just to finish my arm, I suppose its never ending, just starting to wonder what I'll do when and if I run outta skin!!!

Reading Lee's updates I must throw my two cents into the reviews of "Transporter 2" and "The Island".

Transporter 2 first:
Well for me Jason Statham came out the blocks strong with two classics Lock Stock and Snatch both fucking great films, then I suppose he thought he should do a film with a shitty rapper and then things pretty much went downhill for me from there, then Transporter was ok (5.9/10) and Italian Job (6.4/10)
I'm really hoping that "Revolver" is not as bad as they say, but I'm sure "The Pink Panther" will be good!!
I really like him and hope we get a few more outta him, I haven't heard too much about the other film he's doing "London"
Back to the film, what a fucking yawn, first five mins were ok, from the sixth until I pressed stop went from bad to worse a load of crap, thank fuck for the eye candy of Amber Valletta.......I'll leave it there!!

The Island:
Does me falling asleep in the first half of the film tell me something??
I'll have to give it a honest watch then give my verdict!!

On the film note I just cant wait for Lynch's new work "Inland Empire" and maybe Martin Scorsese's "The Departed"
Still holding down the best films I've seen this year are "Sin City" and "The Machinist", there are others but those really did it for me!!

Hmmmm what else?

Been trying out and really enjoying some new music and getting back into older stuff too.
My recommendations would be (these are all after Zeppelin you realize!!) The Velvet Underground, Dylan, Hendrix, Mazzy Star, And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead, Ryan Adams and John Frusciante, there are many more but those are really what I'm listening to at the moment, and as I type this its Mazzy Star!!

Gotta try get behind the decks again too, just need to get "bitten" again, no idea how I went astray, but I'll be back, just gotta find some new sounds!!

These figures top the previous highest gate and gross held by The Beatles for their 1965 Shea Stadium date in front of 55,000 who had paid $301,000. This feat earns Led Zeppelin a place in the Guinness Book Of World Records. An additional 6,000 gate crashers had obtained entry to the grounds, and local police estimate the crowd outside the stadium reached as high as 90,000.
During the concert, seven hundred doves are released to which the audience responded by lighting thousands upon thousands of matches and lighters, which Jimmy Page describes as "like a galaxy."
Ten thousand tickets had been sold in Miami, a three-and-a-half-hour drive from Tampa. The mayor of Miami Beach, Chuck Hall, offers the members of Led Zeppelin keys to the city, a remarkable turnaround for a council which, not long before, had considered banning rock concerts altogether.
The sound quality is excellent from most vantage points in the stadium. "We used four systems of three thousand watts each, which is more equipment than they used at Woodstock," Robert Plant proclaims proudly. "I tried it out before the concert, alone in the empty stadium, and it sounded like the hammer of the gods."

Again sorry for the lack of updates, but friends out from England and up from Cape Town so things have been a little crazy, I've also been trying to fit going to my tattoo artist in amongst this, I'll be seeing her on Tuesday, finally get some work finished and then start the new!!

Well as usual the football has been mixed in the last two weeks, I suppose the story of our season, man it's gonna be tough getting forth, but I'm the eternal optimist and I think we'll do it, I'm not saying more for the fear of jinxing us!!

I also in the mayhem of the last two weeks I have been asked to be Godfather to a friends child, I'm so stoked I cant explain, Sam and Ed I will not let you down!!

Fuck I can really start to feel winter creeping in, what a bitch, as I'm writing this I'm having a cup of tea!!

My sister arrives from Holland for two weeks which should be good, actually I'm really looking forward to it!

Now for a bit of Led Zeppelin information for Jo, on this day...April 17th 1970.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (1970) – During the ceremony at which the mayor pronounced the members of Led Zeppelin honorary citizens, the group's manager was held at gunpoint backstage.
Ten thousand frenzied fans cheered while Mayor Henry Loeb presented the four band members with the keys to the city, but little did they know that Led Zeppelin manager Peter Grant had a pistol aimed at him.
The man holding the gun, the event's promoter, demanded that Grant get his group off the stage. "If you don't cut the show, I'm gonna shoot you," the promoter allegedly told Grant.
The sharp-witted manager coaxed the gun out of the promoter's hand, telling him, "You can't shoot me, ya cunt. They've just given us the fucking keys to the city."
Although it was the first time for Memphis to recognize rock musicians since the days of Elvis Presley and Carl Perkins, the gunpoint situation has become increasingly too common for Led Zeppelin.
On April 5, a girl asked guitarist Jimmy Page if she could watch the show from backstage instead of in the audience. "I thought this was the usual line from a girl just wanting to hang around with us," said Page.
He asked her, "Why don't you go and sit in your seat and watch us?"
She answered, "Because the last time at this place, the cops tear gassed the place, and I'm frightened of being out there."
Situations worsened as the band traveled deeper into the South. Playing in Macon, Ga. on April 3, Led Zeppelin was bombarded by locals pulling guns, apparently just because of the length of the band members' hair.
Because of the situation there, the band appointed an extra team of eight bodyguards for protection in the deep South. Page said he didn't like being forced into the extra protection.
"The warm atmosphere and reaction at the end of each concert makes it all worthwhile, unless you get a nasty scene like a dig at your long hair between the hall and the hotel room, which often happens," he said.
"People have no faith in anything. Everyone seems to carry a gun for protection – it's just like being back in the Jesse James era. We had to have armed guards in every car in Georgia. The constant pressure does get to you."
Page said the group will not give up on America, no matter how bad it gets. "We will go back to the States because people, our audience, want to see us again. I just hope it's cooler next time."

Ok, I have had no internet for nigh on two weeks and that I'm sure goes down as a good enough excuse not to have done a update!!
So after the mind blowing bore of not been able to get online i've been jacking up like the "net-addict" I am.

Been pretty busy in those two weeks anyway and probably wouldn't have got too much done anyway, we've had so many public holidays the last two weeks that there's little wonder why we get fuck all done!!

But we spent it well, a day on the river, skiing and pretty much just chilling and we've had friends out from all over so its been a blast, lunches, dinners etc.. so now everything back to "normal" for me, and the rest of you that have "normal" lives its back to the grindstone!!

Weather is really messing this weekend up, lunch canceled today as the weather has really gone to shit, and the planned braai for tomorrow looks in doubt too, but as their is footie on today and the Grand Prix tomorrow, I'm sure we'll survive!!!

Today the rest of my time before the footie shall be spent wisely and the conversation I'm sure wont disappoint!!!

Again it's Zeppelin through and through and at the moment its "All My Love"....WOW!!

Now that touring is over for the rest of the month, the band will be found rehearsing in London. Finally, the band will also retreat to Shepperton Studios, also in London, for the last week of rehearsals.
After that, it will be back to touring, as Led Zeppelin's ninth tour of North America is set to begin May 4th.

Just a quick post to let you know I'm still alive...

Has been a pretty good week, Sunday had lunch with a few of the crew, the footie this week was fantastic, man when we're fully fit and have no injuries befuckingware, sorry about last night Lee, but hope you're feeling better, it's amazing what a few good pictures of the Hoff can do!!

Today is just going far too quickly, I'm still mulling over going to Nick's for dinner tonight, trying to reply to all my emails and trying to fit a update into the Blogg, obviously the latter has been taken care of!!

Today again has been all Led Zeppelin, I seriously can't get enough!!

Received some cool new videos from Rich, and have finally spoken with my tattoo artist about my back!!

Well another week has passed since last update, that's how things go sometimes!!

All been good on this side of the world, I do have one complaint though, its too damm hot, I know some might read this and think "fuck you man, I'm freezing my ass off" well tough if you do, it's just that heavy, dry and uncomfortable heat...enough about the weather!

The last week was filled with a few ups and a few downs, first the ups...

I woke up at sparrows on Monday morning to watch the Oscars live, Chris Rock was great, wish he got more freedom to really get stuck into some crazy, controversial shit, but he was still cool and I hope to see him again.
On Saturday night I watched Million Dollar Baby, man what an awesome film, If you haven't seen it, stop what you're doing right now and go see it!!
So I was pretty chuffed with the way the film basically swept the floor with the others, Clint, Morgan and Hilary were deserved winners.
I finally got my new phone, what a ball ache, but all is good now.
My sister has announced a date for her wedding which is awesome, October.

Now the downs...

Sunday, Liverpool against Chelsea, man what a start, we thought we were gonna kill them, but then after the celebrations of the what, 43 second goal, we as Reds saw this as a bad thing, where it went wrong for me, firstly you cant defend a one goal lead for 90+ minutes against a side like Chelsea, secondly, our two main players in the form of Gerrard and Nando, had terrible games, Nando's work that lead to the first goal was simply awesome, actually fucking fantastic but then he really never got the ball as we were sitting back, Gerrard obviously after the early "shock" goal went into a much deeper role, thus no attack, I personally think it was his worst performance in the Red of Liverpool, there were thank fuck a few good things to take out the game, two goals against Chelsea, you cant buy goals against them, only Barca have put two past them, our back line was brilliant, Jerzy, Finnan, Carra, Sami and Djimi played with heart, hats off to all of them.
Harry looked good I think he's gonna start to get down again, Garcia worked his socks off, Didi as usual was the silent workhorse, what a player, Nunez and Igor looked good and Milan like Nando just never got the ball he deserved.

Martin Scorsese loosing out again, man that's seven now, that's gotta be tough, his time I'm sure will come, I just hope its before a lifetime achievement award.

My sister and Steven not coming at the end of the month, bummer, was really looking forward too seeing them.

Hey all, sorry again for the lack of updates but that's how things go sometimes.

Had Angela's 30th on Saturday, it was a blast, great time had by one and all, always great to see friends that have kinda drifted away!

Still cant hold myself back from footie during the week, Liverpool played with such class, it was a joy to watch especially after the Birmingham debacle, wont gloat too much as its really only half way, but at east we're in a better position than the other English clubs.

Listening to Bruce Springsteen at the moment, hence today's title, should really listen to him more *makes note to myself*

My sister shall not be coming home as arranged for March as the wedding shall be in October at the trip would be a waste of time, pity, but still looking forward to October.

Man what a crazy last few days, sorry for the lack of updates...again!!

Great news on my side, my sister has got engaged to Steve, I'm super stoked and wish them all the best for the future.

As busy as the last week has been I still feel like not much was accomplished, not sure why, maybe because all the shit was a complete bore, and a pain in the ass.

Still seething on the football side as Liverpool played possibly he worst game of footie from a team in a Liverpool shirt in ages, where is the heart?
I'm also at the stage as I discussed earlier today with Jason for the umpteenth time in the last two years about the Steven Gerrard "saga", I'm not sure what's starting to piss me off more, our performances or the continuing speculation about our captain, who I think does not look happy at all, even last night watching the Tsunami Benefit match the only person who looked like he would rather be at home was Steven, somethings gonna have to give! Put us (the fans) out of our misery at the end of this season, stay of fuck off as the never ending speculation is gonna drive me mad, it's like the media have forgotten the other 45 players in the squad, drives me fucking mad, I better move on before I go mad and lose interest in today's update!!

Busy listening to The Murder City Devils hence today's title, if you haven't heard them before, do, they're great.

Got another busy weekend coming up, the highlight will I'm sure be Angela's 30th.

Must also just vent my anger having to sit through The Grammy's, which is about as exciting as watching pigs fuck, to see the one minute mention of each of the Lifetime Achievement recipients, what a joke, I have to watch these kids take preference over the greats, I think not, and will now no longer watch that crap!

OAKLAND, Calif. (1978) – The four members of the Led Zeppelin entourage who were arrested for assault last July were given suspended prison sentences in court today. Drummer John Bonham, manager Peter Grant, tour manager Richard Cole and security man John Bindon will also pay fines in connection with the violent incident backstage at the summer concert, an Alameda County Superior Court judge ruled.

Just enough time for a quickie today.

We've, I think been having some kind of heat wave the last few days, man it's just so draining, but I should not complain as I've just chatted with friends abroad and it's freezing!!

Hey all, sorry for lack of updates, just things have been pretty hectic the last two weeks, all seems to be a little more "normal" again, so expect regular updates.

Led Zeppelin again today, there is never enough.

Have had a very chilled weekend, thank fuck, the last two weeks were just mayhem, but all good, I and I think everybody else just wanted to chill this weekend.
So with the time I've had this weekend just been catching up on a few missions that I've had to do, cleaning and backing up my P.C, burning discs for the crew and watching a few of the 15 movies I got from Lee last week.

We've had raging heat here the last few days, 32, 33, 34+C everyday, that kind of heat where you cant concentrate on anything, mind just does not function right and all you want to do is chill, literally anywhere that has air-con or a fan!!
Today is a little overcast and should rain later, but It's still hot.

I'm just going to mention the football a little here, I just don't want to jinx it, so it will be quick.
I though we played great football in patches yesterday, what a awesome goal from Nando, I haven't seen a headed goal like that from a Liverpool player in years, his skill was at stages just insane, what vision. Good games from Stevie and Milan too.
Carragher yesterday became our most capped "Premier League" player edging ahead of Steve McManaman's 241 games, much respect!
Last thing on the footie, we all prey today that the Blue Nosed Tossers across the drag lose to the Saints!!

Today has been a very chilled day as the weekend did go on, Saturday night was late, thank fuck yesterdays braai was canceled, I think everybody was just knackered!
Saturday night was great, saw a few people I haven't seen in ages and had a chance to do a little catching up.

And this weekend is already all planned, it seems that's it's birthday season, two this weekend and a lunch...aaagghhh.

Woke up around tennish today and I've had a pretty quiet day and been pretty lethargic, at the moment listening to Paul McCartney & Wings, always great to chill to!

Not much else to really report, been doing a few missions here and there for family and friends, man I wish we had computers when I was at school, then again maybe not, I would have probably done even less if that's possible!
Tried to start working on my "Best Man" speech yesterday but the brain was just not functioning, today aswell to tell you the truth.

Going to leave it there for today, my brain feels like it's leaking outta my ears.

Today physio was called off due to a fall by my mother that has left her in the clinic overnight with a dislocated shoulder, these things happen and I'm sure she'll be fine tomorrow.

Again today I'm listening to Led Zeppelin, I honestly never get bored of listening to them.

The rest of my day has been me spamming away on forums that I visit daily, listening to Zeppelin, talking shit with my sister and cramming my friends mailboxes with ton's of uslees and needless e-mails!! Productive day hey?? NOT!! But that's how it goes.

Well my house has been complete chaos the last two days, first the satellite has been down since the weekend so we've had the tech's around twice and now finally today it has been sorted and luckily for them just in time for tonight's game against Burnley. Also the painters have been around and other people doing odds and ends, and as I sit here it's all over.

It seems that my language has ended me up in the shit again, as from Tuesday I have been banned from Lee's internet server because of the language been classified "offensive", who are these people that make up your minds for you? What is acceptable and what is not! "Nanny State"...we're getting closer people.
I as Lee said shall wear it as a "badge of honor".

Well I'm still seething from our loss yesterday, i was really optimistic before the game but as things settled I kinda had this feeling it wasn't going to be our day, we never really created much or got a decent shot on goal, Carragher's shot was probably our best as Roy Carrol had less to do during the game than me, but I'm the eternal optimist and still think we'll be ok (C.L qualification).

The rest of yesterday was great, woke up in the morning and the weather was really crap, a few calls and plans were made and by the last call the sun had come out in full force, so a awesome day with friends, a bbq, pool, what more could you ask for?

Today I've been really chilled, some missions and that's pretty much that, just checked the cricket score it seems pretty even so far it will more than likely end up been a draw.

Yes again listening to more Led Zeppelin, this seems to happen alot!

Sorry no post yesterday, just had one of those days where you're thinking about everything but really thinking about nothing, or is that just me?
So needless to say I achieved rather little yesterday.
Today has been slightly more productive nothing earth shattering but getting a few things done.

I received a awesome phone call last night from Rich asking me to be his best man, before he finished asking me I had already agreed, so it will be my honor to be the best man at his wedding.

I'm looking out my window and see rain so I'm assuming that the cricket has been suspended for now.

Great news for all Liverpool fans is that we finally have signed Fernando Morientes, I was watching the news when it broke last night, to say that I'm excited is a understatement, I personally believe and think that he is our biggest signing in years, and will be wearing Mark Kennedy's old number 19 shirt.
Massive game tomorrow and I don't want to jinx it by going on about the whole situation, I'll talk on Sunday!

Man what a day so far, it's boiling here today and I've just got back from my first physio class of the new year, they showed no mercy.

I've now finally cooled down a little am more relaxed and listening to the Joy Division.

We've finally it seems have landed Fernando Morientes, "I'm going to Liverpool with all the enthusiasm in the world" he said and just in time to take down the "Scum" on Saturday.
Wont talk too much about last nights game, needless to say we won and we've got a lead going into the second leg, and that's all I'll say about that!!

I have made up my mind that the daily titles of my Blog's for the foreseeable future shall be that of the music I'm currently listening too, very unoriginal I know, but do I really care?? NO!!

So I'm sitting here listening to Led Zeppelin, my favorite band of all time and possibly the greatest band ever! Today is my last day of the big chill, back to physio tomorrow, we have had plumbers at the house today fixing the fountains and some other crap that has had me up since early this morning, hence the anger AGAIN at having to see that "Best British Song" list!!!

This Is The Strangest Life I've Ever Known.

Well as the rain came down last night and I lost my satellite connection I had to change my evenings viewing , I again watched The Doors for the 20+/- time, I really don't care that the critics tore it apart or that the rest of the band thought that Oliver Stone showed a pretty one sided view of Jim Morrison, the "infamous" side, drugs, booze, collapsing on stage or just not pitching up side, I think the movie is great, but sadly the Morrison most people will choose to remember will be the one depicted in the film, enough on that, but I will remember both!
Last thing on The Doors, I've been searching for a complete movie script, but alas to no avail, any help would be great, but I warn you, I've searched!

Today has been a pretty chilled day just the same old stuff going on, I'm listening to Zeppelin's Rain Song (Live) which has put me into a more deeper state of chillin...
